Note: Peter Brown played regularly for Oxford Marathon but since this was a civil service team, players with affiliations other than Harwell were eligible to play as long as they were employed at AERE.

1950's Style Lineout

Reading from the right the first Harwell player is unknown to me, the second , back turned, legs apart, is undoubtedly Derek Ricketts our regular scrum half. The third Harwell player is John Kirkbride. Player on extreme left might be Ian Croall.

This picture was probably taken by Pete Bowen who was a regular supporter and sort of unofficial recorder of our exploits.
