Grove Old Boys Golf Day

John Fisher has the  honour of being both a Harwell and a Grove Old Boy ( a HobGoblin?). As well as helping us, John helps organise a Grove Old Boys Golf Day. Last year the HOBs entered a couple of team's, Pete McIntyre stole the show with a glorious hole in one!

This year we are again entering at least two teams but unfortunately a couple of players have had to drop out. So, if any of you fancy a game at Drayton Golf Club on August 16th please drop Andy an email for details.

The Next Hob-Nob - September 28th

The club Committee has agreed a date for the next Hob-Nob, so put it your diary ... September 28th. It's a double header home game and, as usual, will give some great viewing! The format of the day will most likely be the same as last time.

If you have any ideas for improving the day, please let Andy know.

You can now catch up with who attended and what went on at previous Hob-Nobs on the Hob-Nobs page of the web site.

Vice Presidents - Your Chance!

The club Committee have agreed a proposal to accept HOBs as Vice Presidents to the club in return for a small payment to go to club funds. For the princely sum of £1 a month (payable only by standing order) you can help raise funds for the club, have your name on the Vice Presidents page and become eligible for International match tickets allocated to the club.

More details to follow shortly in a separate email. If you live outside of the UK and would also like to become a VP please drop Andy an email and we'll get a cost effective payment method sorted out for you as well!

AGM Minutes & Pre-Season Newsletters

Those of you who've attended AGM's will know that alongside the formal proceedings there are many light hearted moments, and moments of a more serious nature, reported upon by the team captains in their end of season reports to the meeting that make great reading!

Pre-season newsletters have always been sporadic and again show not only the feelings in the club at that time but also show the lighter side of life.

We have a few sets of AGM minutes & pre-season newsletters and would love to get hold of more. So, have a read through what we have and then get up in the loft and see what you can dig out. There could be some real gems waiting for us to share!

Updated Roll of Honour

Now includes as much information as we have available on captains of all teams, as well as President, Chairman, Club Secretary, Team Secretaries and club colours.

Most of the information has been gleaned from the collection of fixture cards and the AGM minutes we've managed to find so far.

Please have a look through and if you can complete any of the missing information please let us know. Also, have a look through the Fixture Card page and AGM Minute pages to see if you have any of the missing records.
