Colin Banks Memories

Colin started playing 1969-70 and thinks he stopped around 1989-90 but wife, Norma, thinks it was 1988-89, too long a go to remember! Perhaps he should ask his Mum ....

Hi it’s a game against Didcot I think it’s September 1981.

One of my friends was testing a new camera back in the day when we used film/slides and he took these photos he only remembered them when I was talking about Harwell old boys .

Also talking to my mum who is 90 this year and she was a barmaid at the Harwell social club when the rugby club was first set up and she did the meals etc., I showed her the web site and she can remember them rude boys.

She is at present looking at old AERE News’s with her friends to see what they can find.

1981/82 1st XV vs Didcot

Well, judging by the number of people with mouths gasping in air and standing with hands on hips, it must have been a hot day. Looks like a typical Didcot game, fast and furious.
